Four years ago today I was starting to go into labor. We had just finished watching the NBA finals and the World Cup had their opening night.
The following day I went through labor with the soothing drone of Vuvuzelas filling my delivery room. What else was the husband going to do while I slowly labored away?
Those first few days home I sat with my new little baby and watched some of the World Cup games. While watching I realized that the next time the World Cup is on I am going to have a four year old. I couldn’t imagine it and I also couldn’t wait. I couldn’t wait to see what kind of little person this little baby would grow into.
I also didn’t imagine that I would be in the exact same apartment and that I would also have another little girl too.
I have no idea what the next four years will look like. But I am enjoying them. I have found peace and contentment and I try to be thankful for all the Lord has done, is doing and who the Lord is.
I will always associate the World Cup with the birth of my first born and kinda like seeing things broken up into 4 year increments. 🙂
So all that to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMILY!
You have helped be grow in so many ways these past four years.
I have enjoyed watching you grow these past four years.
I am blessed!
