Mint is in. Red is Christmassy. Combined they make great Christmas decor.
Here is a little mint and coral red Christmas decor for your DIY inspiration.
I made the little felt Christmas trees. They were super easy to do.
I rolled card stock paper into cone shapes. I then cut the bottoms to create a straight edge and to make different sizes.
For the mint tree I used Elmer’s glue and fuzzy mint yarn. I just glued and wrapped.
For the gray tree I simply glued, wrapped and cut.
For the red tree I cut a bunch of little triangles out of felt and glued from the bottom up and topped with a cotton ball.
There are a few tutorials out there to make pom poms. I liked this one on Pinterest. The key to making pom poms is to keep cutting. Keep cutting. Keep cutting.
I collected all these acorns one fine fall day. It took about 10 minutes to get an entire plastic jack-o-lantern full. I put them in the freezer to kill any buggers. Then I painted away. I used the Martha Stewart line of acrylic paint. The red and white went on really well. The mint color required a few coats to cover up the brown.
I got this sweet little guy at Target. I believe they are all sold out now.
Enjoy your minty Christmas!
