“If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!” Matt 7:11
This morning Reagan came to me and asked me in her little two year old voice for “Tic Tac’s Pweeeassse.” It’s such a small little thing to ask for and I said yes and gave her one tiny green Tic Tac. By her reaction you would have thought that I had given her a puppy! She did a little dance and said “Tanks Mom Tic Tac’s.”
I really think her reaction to me giving her the Tic Tac made me happier than she was for actually receiving the Tic Tac.
Then I thought of how the Bible says that we know how to give good gifts to our children though we are sinful and it makes us so happy to do it. God feels the same way when he gives us gifts and he is Holy and his gifts are way better than Tic Tac’s.
So small and caused so much joy and God can do so much more.
Then I thought of Reagan’s reaction. So much thankfulness for the littlest thing that I barely put any effort into. And it brought me so much joy to see her be so thankful.
God must be pleased when we thank him for the “Tic Tac’s” of the day too.
I have been working on being thankful in all circumstances for a little bit now, but today was a special little gift from God telling me that it makes him happy when we are thankful.
So keep it going!

I took a little video of Reagan saying thank you. It was definitely staged and trimmed. But imagine this cuteness unprompted and authentic.
Thanks for reading friends.
