We finished up VBS and our theme was Maker Fun Factory. It can be quite expensive to order from the catalog so here are a few of the ideas we used for the Imagination Station.
I have included affiliate links to Amazon. That is where I purchased almost all of our supplies.
Clay and toothpick structures. This was a last minute idea and worked out really well. The littlest kids just played with Play-Doh and the older kids really got into trying to make complex structures.
We had 5 tables with 5 different types of blocks and had the kids make mazes and then switch to solve their friends mazes. Then we did it again.
The older kids made tube-marble runs.
We cut up A WHOLE lot of card board pieces and had the kids paste the Bible verses to them and build with them. They were able to take 10 or so home each.
We had the younger kids make necklaces and bracelets out of pasta wheels that we dyed fun colors. The older kids made necklaces out of metal and rubber washers.
We had the kids make robots out of tin cans.
